This beautiful edition of What Katy Did At School by Sarah Chauncey Woolsey under her pen name Susan Coolidge features stunning art nouveau boards designed by Ethel Larcombe.
It tells the story of Katy Carr and her five younger siblings and their adventures. One fateful day Katy decides to play on the swings, despite Aunt Izzy forbidding her too. When she falls and becomes paralysed, all the members of the Carr family’s lives are changed forever. A wonderfully sweet story that would look lovely on any bookshelf.
The book is undated but these editions were brought out between 1900 and 1910.
