The front depicts the Bare Head portrait of George VI  while the reverse features Pistrucci’s St George Slaying the Dragon.

Description

Coin is in very good condition.

Box is in good condition with faded gilding.

Information leaflet reads: The first English Silver Crown piece was minted in 1551. Four hundred years later, on the occasion of the Festival of Britain, the Royal Mint has issued a Crown piece, bearing on its edge the date 1851-1951 in Roman numerals, and a Latin inscription CIVIUM INDUSTRIA FLORET CIVITAS – “By the industry of its people the State flourishes”.
