Full colour pictorial stiff card wrappers cut around the shape of a cute little Attwell boy dressed in striped pajamas with moveable arms rivetted in place.

This rare book tells the story of Billy and how proud he is of his new pajamas and what trouble his pride gets him into.

Description

I grade this book as in ‘Good’ condition.

Every other page has a full page black and white and red illustration by Mabel Lucie Attwell of Billy and his dolly friends including a Gollywog.

No inscriptions.

Shows signs of handling.

Boards have moderate edge wear.

Bumped to corners.

Crease across the neck which runs lightly through the book.

Left arm has detached but is not damaged and can easily be reattached.

One page has a minor tear at the edge – see photos.

Reading pages are in very good condition.
