Descripción

Due to the age and rarity I grade this as in ‘Very good’ condition.

A very unusual, and scarce, double leporello binding (with two accordion style chromolithographed paper cut extensions) each with six panels.

I have only been able to find 2 other originals – One copy of which is located at OCLC (at the University of Delaware).

Light soiling to the covering wraps with front wrap having a few tears and damage to corners. There appears to have been paper/card columns that attached the two leporello’s together. These thin pieces remain, but they all have split so the two leporello’s are extended separately and it is now impossible to have the extended leporello’s standing upright (although this was probably never a wise manner of displaying the imagery). No losses apparent to the imagery.

Given the fragility, delicacy and fineness of the cut-out edges, the panels are in an amazing state of preservation!
