“Spencer Management was set up as company to follow certain projects and dreams of its founder and General Manager, John Spencer. Mr Spencer started his 30-year career in the Television industry as a mail boy at ATN channel 7 in January 1974 and worked in many aspects of the industry until June 2003.
The Gold Coast Monopoly was the first project for this company and the product of many years of work from John to pull all the pieces together and come up with a great looking game.

The two utilities are The Bulletin (newspaper) and Sea FM (radio).
The cards are Surf Live Saving Club and Gold Coast City Council.
The banknotes are colour printed on white paper and are: 1 – 5 – 10 – 20 – 50 – 100 and 500.
The 6 tokens are very specific ones: Dolphin – Palm Tree – Surf Flag – Wind Surfer – Pelican and Kangaroo.
